Frans Hals Museum/ Doll's House Sara Rothé

This afternoon my friend Marjon and I visited the Frans Halsmuseum in Haarlem to see the doll's house of Sara Rothé (1699-1751) and an exhibition about this doll's house. If you looked close enough there was also some miniature knitting, lace and crochet to be seen. Of course there were many other things to admire in the museum too, such as embroidered 17th century bed curtains. The knitwear you see in the last picture is from galerie Gemund (I happened to walk past it on my way back to the bus station).

Cross-stitching

Let's see, of course I have been working on my large 'Afternoon Tea' cross-stitch project, but I also started and finished 'Pride and Prejudice' (I got the pattern from Petal Pusher's Etsy shop).
I also cross-stitched these little forest animals on the leg of one of my jeans (the pattern is 'Waldgefaehrten' by Unisono Stickvorlagen).

Next I wanted to do a Snowflower Diaries project, and I decided to start off with 'The Rose Bush'. It's going really fast, so I may be able to start another Snowflower Diaries project soon.

Textielmuseum Vriendendag 2016

Today I was present at the Vriendendag 2016 of the Textielmuseum Tilburg, where several young designers got a chance to show their work. And of course, while I was there, I also visited the Sheila Hicks 'Why Not?' exhibition.
