Frans Hals Museum/ Doll's House Sara Rothé

This afternoon my friend Marjon and I visited the Frans Halsmuseum in Haarlem to see the doll's house of Sara Rothé (1699-1751) and an exhibition about this doll's house. If you looked close enough there was also some miniature knitting, lace and crochet to be seen. Of course there were many other things to admire in the museum too, such as embroidered 17th century bed curtains. The knitwear you see in the last picture is from galerie Gemund (I happened to walk past it on my way back to the bus station).

  1. Spannend die laatste! Die hele galerie nooit gezien. Maar ja, ik fiets meestal door de binnenstad en dan kan je niet echt om je heen kijken...
