More Cross Stitching and New Sewing Book

This was what my cross stitching project looked like last week:
and this is what it looked like a couple of days ago:
This week I also bought the book 'Everyday Style' by Lotta Jansdotter. I love this book,it makes me want to get out my sewing machine and try some of these projects.

New Cross-Stitch Project

These are the first pictures of my new cross-stitch project. I started it about 2 weeks ago, and it will probably take me till the end of this year to finish it (but I don't care, I love it!). I bought the floss here, about a year ago. The old lady who owned the shop carefully placed the skeins in an old cardboard box that she probably still had laying around somewhere (she was of the 'waste not want not generation', which I think is great), neatly ordered based on the DMC-number. I will be doing a cross-stitch version of the painting 'Afternoon Tea' by the Danish painter Paul Fischer. The painting was done in 1914, and I just love this image.

Crocheted Coasters

These coasters (onderzetters) were a gift from my mother in law, who crocheted them herself. I think they look great!
